Corn Day with Ms. Onsae

Our Native American Counselor, Deb Onsae, came in to teach us all about corn and the importance of corn to the Native American culture.  Students had the chance to shuck corn, grind corn in a metate,  paint corn pictures, and try different corn foods.  They sampled popcorn, corn chips, corn nuts, sweet blue corn tamales,  and blue corn fritters made with Ms. Onsae.  Check out the pictures below of our informational and amazingly fun day!
