Carnival 2019

Hello families.  Since we are sitting at about midweek I am going to keep it short and just dive right into this weeks events.

School Carnival:  Marshall turned 65 this year, and we are celebrating with our annual school carnival!  This will be happening tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15th.  The carnival begins at 3:45 and ends at 5:45.  Although the event begins immediately after school, all students must be chaperoned by an adult.  If your child is a bus rider they must get on the bus as usual, unless you make plans to pick them up immediately after school to attend the carnival with them.  You cannot have them go to the carnival and meet them there later.  If they are a bus rider and you plan on picking them up at school, it may be a good idea to notify the office or write a note in the agenda, but again - you must be there to pick them up immediately upon the bell ringing!  Games will be 1 ticket, which can be purchased for .25 cents, or 5 tickets for $1.00.  Fratellis Pizza will also be selling pizza and McLaughlin Dentistry will be selling shaved ice, both of which can be purchased with tickets.  Hope to see you there for some outdoor fun in the sun!

Special Early Release:  Don't forget this Thursday, May 16th is an extra early release day.  Students will be dismissed at 12:25.  Please plan for childcare accordingly.  Friday, May 17th will still be our regularly scheduled 12:25 release.

Library Field Trip:  Monday, May 20th is our field trip to the Library.  We will be going to learn all about the summer reading program and to have a special story time.  Permission slips will be going home tomorrow.  Please fill out and return by this Friday.

As always, lots of learning is still taking place.  We are nearing the end of our bear research projects.  We have officially wrapped up fractions and are beginning time tomorrow.  We are beginning our final round of sight word testing.  Still so much to do in room 9!  #workuntiltheend.  #norest.  #we'reheretolearn #finishstrong #let'sdothis  -Ms. Shaw
